I saw him speak in April of 68. He was passionate and the people loved him. He was committed to ending the war and with his charisma and speaking ability he would have won against the dour, fear mongering Nixon (Humphrey almost did with all his baggage). It was a sad day when he was murdered, it meant thousands more would die in an evil and senseless war.
