Be thankful you got to see her. My mom went quite suddenly with a stroke in Virginia while I was stuck here in Europe. None of us got to say goodbye, and my brother and sister pulled the plug according to my mom's specific wishes (well, demands, you had to know my mom: "don't you DARE keep me alive like a vegetable!"
. She was only 75, but had horrible cholesterol, which I unfortunately inherited.
This is something almost all of us have to face sooner or later, and there are as many different stories as there are people, as you now know. I hope you come to terms with this and talk to your siblings. It helped me a lot.
