The one I lost contact with, I only knew for a short while.
We didn't have the opportunity to learn much more about each other.

She called me a "Sword Snob", which was interesting, and we did not lose contact due to hard feelings or anything of that sort. Life just got in the way, and we are both busy individuals.

Oh, one more thing. Take this from a self-avowed Independent.
When it comes to meeting new people, don't automatically pigeon-hole them in to any sort of category such as liberal, conservative or any of that sort, it limits the experiences you will get. I can understand the tribal mentality, but that just closes off many avenues that you can find.

Of course, I also understand having a firm goal in mind and leveraging all your experiences towards that end, but still, at the beginning of each acquaintance, allow for some wiggle room.
