I feel the same about this as I would if someone posted a photo of the sports illustrated swimsuit cover and said something like 'this ought to do wonders for feminism.' I'd consider it at best flame bait or really ignorant. Train wreck threads here are pretty predictable. They can drive really good people away from DU. You'll see that from reading this entire thread. You must understand. There are certain things like rape or murder or race issues or all sorts of other things that, while some may be able to sit here like Mr. Spock and discuss them all logically, one should also be sensitive to the fact that for a good deal of others they can really bring out a lot of pain and hurt feelings. And guess who ends up leaving? Precisely the people who add the most to DU. Unless we want it to be solely an old boys club of straight white men. Which I most certainly don't. I doubt you'd want that either.
