"It cannot be reconciled through wisdom justice and love.
As public employees they need to put the safety of all citizens first. Even potentially dangerous suspects. Because everybody is innocent until proven guilty.
It is not for the police to be vigilantes.
And rationalizing it away and saying thats just how it is and allowing these officers to get away with murder we will never change anything and the police abuse of power will just continue to grow.
I wouldnt call the police for anything. There are to many of them that believe it is okay to take the easy cowardly road and hide behind a gun instead of actually doing police work and yes putting themselves in danger even against people with screw drivers.
