(53,661 posts)And I don't find what the lady in question said that was so offensive, nor what it has to do with reparations.
'If you want peace, work for justice.' Maybe some mindsets are in a perpetual war zone, eagerly searching their fellows to see who they can clamber on top of to get ahead. That is the pettiness and hatred which disgusts me most about this country, the refusal to admit that we are all vulnerable to loss by criminal enterprises.
Then letting them get away with it and respecting them because they have money and power. It's not just the USA, sad to say. People gravitate towards energies, good and bad ones, constructive and destructive ones.
The plantation order never left this country. It's existed as a parallel social order from before the Constitution was ratified. At times it was forced to be underground, at other time it's been overt. But it's always there in every nation. And places that have devolved from being nations, as well.
