I also think that the Republican right is not going to be so easily denied this time out. They lost to the establishment in 2008 and 2012 and see the fact that Big money rammed McCain and Romney down their throats as the sole reason for Obama's success.

Cruz is beloved by the Fundamentalists and Tea Party types. If he can overwhelm the other Tea Party Types and disarm the establishment he could win the nomination.

I don't think he can win a general election but then again stranger things have happened. He is slick and quick on his feet. He also seems to lack any sort of ethics that I can see. As Jerry Brown said, he is a liar. I thought that this country would never elect George W. Bush either--alright we didn't--technically--but with a lackluster candidate, a complacent Democratic party plus division on the left we could see 2008 all over again.
