She was in CANADA when he popped out. And last I looked, Canada was NOT one of the 50 states - OR US territory or possession.
2) Because john mccain - nope, that doesn't hold either. john mccain was born on US soil. His mother was in the Panama Canal Zone at a US hospital installation there, I believe. The Canal Zone back then WAS a US territory or possession or whatever they called it. Like Guam. Like the Virgin Islands. Like Puerto Rico. They're not states either. But they're considered US territory and if you're born there, you are automatically a US citizen. So that counts FOR mccain.
3) Because Obama - Nope. Not the same thing. President Obama's mom was in the 50th State when he popped out. And Hawaii HAD BEEN the 50th state for at least a couple of years before his birth. And yeah, she was an American citizen too. Just like we're told ted cruz's mom was. But it matters more WHERE she was when she gave birth. She could be on the moon and, if it's an American installation, it's technically American soil. She could be at the US Embassy in Moscow or Beijing and THAT is technically American soil, too. But cruz's mother was in CANADA. Have we annexed Canada? When did the US do that? Was I asleep in bed when that happened?
