6. Fighting against Batista...

...only helped the Communists under Castro.
Even if there were other factions (and there always are),
I don't believe anyone did NOT know who they were fighting for.

I'm NOT claiming one way or the other.
I have nothing but Ted's words,
and this still doesn't pass my smell test.
