I DO have a problem when a POLITICIAN condemns whole segments of our society with their brainwashed fundamentalist point of view - proposing measures to further disenfranchise at the minimum with laws and policies which does significant harm - when it turns out (all too frequently) these very people are actually closeted.

I think THAT's fair game deserving of ridicule.

I have no idea if Cruz is closeted. But if he is, then all's fair.

Because I have two granddaughters being raised by legally married open lesbians, their mommies and their future mean everything to me. I'm tired of these fundamentalist freaks threatening war fare on my daughter and her wife and children's lives and their well-being and happiness because of politicians like Cruz et al.

Homophobe? I don't think so.
