Capitalism warps and corrupts everything in the end. It can't help it because that is how it is designed to function. Through the accumulation of profit. And profit accumulation equals wealth. And wealth equals power.

Morals are not a requirement of the system in order for it to function. Morals tend to inhibit a capitalist's functioning and places those who adhere to so-called ''moral/social behavior'' at a competitive disadvantage. It is better to let the state, (where required) bear those costs.

Until people acknowledge this, you'll not be able to move forward. It has to become a part of the discussion instead of talking around it as we've been doing. Like any predator or disease, or a cancer - you must first identify what is attacking you - in order to know how to most effectively fight it.

- Capitalism's underlying tenet is that freedom refers to the freedom to make profits uninhibited by the state. Period.

[center]CAPITALISM WARPS EVERYTHING

According to a study published by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, Americans waste about 40% of all food produced in the United States. It is also estimated that 70% of all fresh water consumption in the US is attributed to the agricultural production; which means that food waste alone accounts for one quarter of ALL the water consumed within the US. Furthermore, given that the average farm requires 3 kcal of fossil fuel energy to produce 1 kcal of food (before accounting for energy requirements of food processing and transportation) wasted food accounts for roughly 300 million barrels of oil per year.
