....for the fact that (given the Karl Rove book of dirty tricks) the Kerry Edwards campaign would have blown sky high in spectacular fashion.

The Democratic Party would have been crippled because Elizabeth Edwards refused to allow John to drop out.

Don't get me wrong -- I was always on Elizabeth's side. But it was wrong to put ambitions before truth.
