74. Willard is despicable and scary not only because of how much he lies,

but also because of his millionaire backers who intend to shape politics for their interests only, rather than for the common good. They could care less if the rest of the nation continues to go six feet under, as long as they're still getting their "gouda".

As far as him being the most despicable and scariest GOP nominee, I'm not sure about that. I wasn't born yet during the Reagan era, and I wasn't old enough to get involved in politics during Bush 43. But I did learn that Reagan was one of the main Republicans who helped propel the "liberal media" myth and began the trickle-down system that has kept the poor poorer, and Bush 43 got us into a couple of wars, trashed our reputation worldwide, and escalated our debt. Judging from all of this, I would say it's a 3-way tie between those guys.
