20. He was certified by the ABO, which is recognized.

He quit that volunarily in a dispute over changes that the ABO was making in certificaton eligibility (changes that would not have affected him, by the way) and created the NBO. He has since, to my understanding, allowed that to go defunct and has not recertified through the ABO.

That being the case, it is correct to say that he is not currently board certified in opthamology, though he is probably eligible to be recertified if he chooses. But that doesn't change the fact that he is, in fact, a license physician, no matter how much some people seem to want it to.
