The Missouri vote shows that the evangelicals will go to cultural war over LGBT rights. It does not matter if SCOTUS approves gay marriage they plan to defy it and believe they will reverse whatever gains have been made. They believe that over time they will take over and shove their shit down the throats of the country. Realize they will go to any lengths. They simply believe that their stance is a long term holy war for the soul of a nation that is THEIRS by birthright.
They count on the protection of the cross as a political sanctuary from anyone who apposes them. Any opposition is anti religion and anti religious freedom. Essentially their "white supremacist" bigotry and exceptionalism a divine right. And unless you accept their agenda you are unpatriotic and anti American.
Even today they are running candidates with a hidden religious agenda masquerading as "moderate conservative" politicians. They are infiltrating the political landscape at the local, state and federal level. Voter apathy and confusion plays right into their hands.
