2. Stats, damn stats, and lies...

Which is it?

In 2012, last stats available, 123 blacks were killed by police; 326 whites were killed.


And what were each of those people doing to get killed? Selling loose cigarettes on a streetcorner, or buying a (toy, wasn't it?) gun at a walmart while talking on a phone, or jaywalking? Or were they shot while bombing marathons or committing mass murders?

Stats can 'prove' anything you want them to, as long as you don't actually examine the individual cases too closely.
