6. Same here, Maria Altman was put through H*ell, others too. I saw Monuments Men, Robt. Edsall's

work and speeches. Also have 'The Rape of Europa', Lynn Nicholas' scholarly book from the late 90s. But I'm livid this happened and it was held back so many decades by many US institutions involved including ones where I worked like NGA, the National Archives.
It was too many years for all this to come out, too many people lost and suffered. Heck, even the magnificent WWII Memorial in DC took 50+ years before a place could be found, etc. I would like for my father to have visited it, since he helped fight and liberate Europe 70 years ago as a brave young officer.
