(45,319 posts)Democratic White House trying to get health care reformed. How material about the stacked deck of the wealthy is the sole property and creation of a person who was a Republican when Bernie Sanders was helping found the Progressive Caucus along with other members who are still part of that 69 member caucus such as Peter DeFazio and Maxine Waters.
I mean, Warren is great and all that, but a Republican woman who moved to the left in the mid 90's just might have been pulled in that direction by the example of Hillary Clinton. Warren was a Supply Sider, a Reaganomics advocate, she was mistaken and on the wrong side of every issue. Her Party and candidates were anti choice when Hillary was Pro Choice, anti gay when Hillary was Pro Gay, her Party opposed every last piece of policy that might benefit regular people, busted Unions and ignored AIDS all while Liz was loyal to them and Hillary was a good Democrat.
So what pulled Liz to the left? Anyone know?
I love what Warren says these days, but I really loathe the pretense that she does not have a long and rather contradictory history with the Republican Party. It's insulting and simplistic.
