I'm still working with trying to get my facebook account set up right. I think I finally got through a verification process and have a link to it that's right, but I want to check that with Moosepoop who's been helping me a whole whole whole lot with this.
I FINALLY got through to a helpful person at this local government organization that might be able to do some things to help me, and go there Monday for some sort of intake process and I guess get assigned a case worker or something. Until I go I really don't know how it all works.
The landlord thankfully never showed up this weekend, and any day now she should be getting her copy of the appeal I got filed with the county court. Once she finds out that the rent money goes to the court into escrow and she can't do anything to throw me out until the hearing in nine months I expect she'll go off her nut, so I'm a bit worried about that. Of course I have no intension of staying here any longer than I have to until I can get work and the money to move somewhere else, and with whatever mold or crud that's in here is freaking me out so much not just for me but for Yoshi I'm dying to get the hell out of here.
I'm still having a lot of problems trying to find some kind of government agency that will do an inspection of this stuff since the township code enforcement office that is SUPPOSED to deal with such things keeps telling me they only work for property owners (which is the craziest thing I've ever heard) and the inspection they did an hour before the hearing was a joke. I haven't been able to find any kind of home inspection department with the county, so I'm hoping this government agency I'm going to might be able to help me as to where to turn about that at this point. I can't possibly afford a private person to do an inspection, and my next door neighbors for some reason don't even seem interested. As far as they believe they only have water damage.
I finally got some sleep last night for a good number of hours at a stretch which I've needed for weeks. I just wish I'd made it too my bed though because the sofa makes me wake up feeling like a human pretzel. I seem to be ok now, but for a couple hours after I woke up I felt like someone had taken off all my limbs and put them back on sideways and backwards. Sucks when that happens.
Tuesday if no other disasters strike I'll be calling all these catering agencies on the list I got from the guy that runs the bartending school. I talked to him about doing these agency jobs for weddings or banquets or parties or whatever and he said this is the beginning of their really busy time of year so they're scrambling for workers and will hire anyone straight out of the school. The pay is really good, too, though they're one day or night gigs, so I hope I can get enough of them. But I can work with a lot of agencies all at the same time, so I'm really hopeful. This seems like the best way I can think of to get pretty immediate work that pays well.
