70. In 1950 when I was 10 and my brother was 6 we went all over NYC by subway.

We went to the Yankee Stadium, Polo Grounds, Rockaway beach and on rainy days we went to the Museum or a movie. Even took the ferry a couple times to Staten Island and the 125ST ferry to Palisades Park in NJ.

The subway was a nickel and the NJ ferry was IIR a quarter.
