(114,644 posts)93. My take is that she is coopting some of the lingo common to DU and is not fully
aware of how combative it sounds when she mixes it in with her views.
FWIW, the 'paid operatives' charge has been tossed around since the first primary race here in 2003. Unfair then, but, sometimes true, now.
I am surprised that DUers are so harsh towards someone they know is struggling to discuss American politics when English is obviously a second language, and when that person is tossing in American phrases popularized on American political forums like DU.
The combativeness being directed at her seems overthetop to me.
