On a darker note, this is him laying the groundwork for a later screed about, "well how can I be a sexist pig-fucker, if Hillary Clinton is President???"
It comes from the same place as "Racsim doesn't exist in America anymore, because Barack Obama..", and is just as nonsensical.
It's just an excuse to dismiss his actual racism (or sexism) as letigimate critique instead of the asinine bigotry that it really is. What he should be doing, is going in front of the camera every fucking night and thanking the rest of us who voted for Barack (and who will, in all probability, vote also for Hillary) for providing him a kind of unintentional cover for his continued ignorance.
