But the traffic on that road is governed by the law of unintended consequences.

Killing civilians in drone strikes, particularly women and children, especially in countries where US rapaciousness has guaranteed poverty, doesn't sound brilliant to me. In fact, it doesn't sound like a way to keep anyone safe.
