8. The scary thing about this guy, vs. the other Rethugs, is that he might be able to pull it off.

It seems like Rand has a skill that the others on his side lack. It feels like he knows the broader, general audience better. He has figured out how to pander to the base in more private, coded conversations while spouting a broader message more publicly.

What worries me is the number of younger people (20-mid 30's) who view his isolationism as a strength. And quite frankly, I think a lot of us here agree with the sentiment that we should stop pouring money into the M-I-C at the expense of caring for many of the social needs that exist at home. But I also think most of us here can see the whole cloth that is Rand - not just the one position that we might agree on. And that whole cloth is scary scary chit.

And to us Ohioans, he's almost a local boy and he's been working the local Northern Kentucky circuit pretty hard.

Of all the right candidates, this is the guy that scares the chit out of me because he hides his wolf so much better than the others.

I still think he's very beatable in the general with the right candidate but still, scary guy.
