today. Many people on DU like to propose that Republicans 'used to be moderate' and yet history and even simple recollection tells us that John Birch Society Republicans were just like today's Tea Party. Fred Koch, founder of Koch Industries and father of the Koch Bros was a founder of the John Birch Society.
