I remember when I got some used HP test equipment, oscilloscope, wave analyzer, etc, and the stuff was not only built like tanks, but incredibly accurate. Long before HP became the source of cheap printers, it was one of the world's premier engineering companies.

I had a couple of their programmable calculators, too, and really, really miss RPN.

Fiorina wasn't the first, or only, manager who thought quality was a silly waste of money, but she was probably the worst of them.
