(31,849 posts)1) He wanted to cut Social Security benefits through chained C.P.I. - That was a political tactic (that even republicans knew was going no where, given the conditions that he placed on the offer) to show America that republicans were unserious. And it worked, look at the "republican obstructionist" polling numbers, before the offer, and the numbers after the offer.
2) He is fast-tracking TPP, which is flogged by most economists and unions as devastating for the middle-class. - Doesn't it bother you that so many people are making these claims without actually knowing what is in the agreement? It should.
3) Larry Summers for Federal Reserve chief. - Okay, got me. Who is the Fed Chief now? And, wasn't there someone else before this one. And didn't each bring a particular skill set to the job, at a particularly, fragile economic time?
4) He did not raise the abysmal minimum wage, while nearly half of all Americans live in poverty. - How, exactly, does a/the President raise the Minimum Wage, for anyone but Federal employees, and employees of federal contractors ... which, btw, he did.
5) He promised to march alongside striking workers in comfortable shoes - nope. - Yep. Nope ... at the request of those that were marching ... remember, that part?
