In reply to the discussion: Update on Kristen Lindsey who killed pet cat [View all]freshwest
(53,661 posts)84. TY. I was able to access the document after giving permissions. The Veterinarian's Oath's not ©:
Being admitted to the profession of veterinary medicine, I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare, the prevention and relief of animal suffering, the conservation of animal resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of medical knowledge.
I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics. I accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement of my professional knowledge and competence.
She took that oath but the letter describes her actions and comments as grotesque and hopes she is prosecuted. I hope so as well. Somewhere on this or another thread it's said that the elderly owners of the cat are filing a lawsuit, and one thread showed a long video of the cat.
Their video showed an animal that was affectionate and liked people, well kept and groomed, definitely not feral. A vet would know that and that he had been neutered.
And some DUers looked at the angle of the arrow and said the cat was looking up at her as she shot, and surmise he was expecting to be petted. It was like shooting fish in a barrel, innocent and trusting.
This kind of callous disregard for life is becoming more obvious from the right, they show great pride in presenting themselves as apex predators. This is their attitude toward liberals, women, minorities, the poor / disabled.
Just kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out, is their motto. They're a pox on the human race. They are young and cruel and vote.

Any rich guy who marries her should sleep with one eye open and hire a food tester.

Family I don't agree with. But I don't see it as harrassment to tell her she's a piece of shit.

If her license isn't suspended, it's hard to imagine anybody wanting to hire her as a vet.
