50. Until a few years ago, I had never heard of Ludlow. Interesting, because...

I was raised near Denver, went to junior high and high school there, and not once during our Colorado history classes was the Ludlow Massacre ever mentioned. This was back in the 1950s. Maybe the powers that be didn't want to upset us young Coloradoans so they left this and the Sand Creek Massacre out of the public education curriculum. Not sure why, but I do know I've been haunted by both sad events for quite some time, especially today, the Ludlow anniversary. Thanks for the reminder.
