the area for those on bail are for (flight risk/likelihood of not showing up for trial) there is nothing wrong with the accused going on his vacation.

If the court does not feel he is a flight risk and feels assured that he will show up for his trial then why should he not be able to go? He has not been found guilty yet and when/if he is that is when he will suffer his punishment.
