(15,686 posts)whose full name is one letter different than mine. At first glance even I thought it was my name. Her bad credit has been on my credit rating for years. They tried to repo a car from me I didn't even own. It was hers, but the repo guy didn't believe me and threatened me to the point of hysterics on my part. Even the IRS has sent inquiries about her SS number which is different, of course. I haven't had problems with IRS since I filled out the proper paper work for them but I'll be damned if I can get her off my credit report. My report actually shows me as having two different SS numbers. One is mine. One is hers. And her unpaid student loans are in the neighborhood of 90,000.00.
Periodically I make a new effort to rid myself of her. Call her creditors. Call her collections agencies. Report it to the credit rating agencies...But I've pretty much given up. The first repo call came just after I had given birth to my 18 yo daughter. That is how long I've been trying. So thoroughly effed up.
