14. My friend lives in Cabo MX, and she got a surprise call yesterday from her cousin who she

hadn't seen in years! And wow, he was going to be there in about an hour, yay!

She immediately posted on facebook how happy she was, and her (other) cousin, the man's sister piped up right away to say that she was quite sure her brother wasn't anywhere near Mexico! (They're all from Canada)

So by now my friend is really confused, and she gets another call saying there's been a terrible accident and could she talk right now on the phone with the police? She confirms the name of her cousin that is supposedly on site, and then says sure, and 'police' gets on the phone and starts in, and she says that she's talking to her cousin right now on Facebook....

Mister 'Police' hung up in a big hurry. It was a scam to extort money of course, for the sake of that allegedly so called long lost relative. Terrible thing, happens a lot and a lot of people fall for it.

Let's be careful out there!!!
