(55,981 posts)I question all my elected representatives. That's my obligation as a citizen and especially as a Democrat. I neither twist facts nor support twisted facts. Just because you disagree doesn't make them twisted. If I twist facts that is the time to point it out and not just accuse me.
I recognize the need for some to have an authoritarian leader that they can trust completely. Most of us were raised that way. IMO it's a conservative mindset and very dangerous to our democracy. In 2007 I was fully committed to supporting Barack Obama and I believe he is a good man and greatly appreciate him as a president personality. I think he has done a lot of good, but I do not agree with all he does and feel I should be able to express my feeling on a "politically liberal" message board w/o derision.
