God was not mentioned at a STRAIGHT wedding 2 weeks ago [View all]

It was on a beach in Florida. The couple had a female Justice of the Peace. Not one single word about Jesus, sacrament, or God at all. She declared them to be husband and wife by the STATE OF FLORIDA. So, was this a sacrament too? Obviously this straight couple didn't want a religous marriage. Are they still married just because they are STRAIGHT? How many people in the US would say they aren't because no clergy was involved? Why can't gay couples have something like this if straight couples can? Knowing this couple, you would get a MAJOR argument from them if somebody said they received holy, sacred, sacrement of marriage (sic).

Until we can get RELIGION out of our civil laws, the USA is rapidly headed towards a Tablian country. Oh, it's CHRISTIAN so that makes it OK?
