24. I hope you got Jack back in ok shape

if one of my dogs goes missing before work or bedtime, one trick that never seems to fail is to take their squeaky ball on the search and squeak it. Even if they can resist me calling them, the squeaky ball is pretty irresistible.

Also, once my younger dog, Luna, went missing. He has a history of being abused and being a stray, so early on when I yelled at one of the horses (who stepped on my foot), he panicked, ran out of the pasture, across the street and hid behind some bushes and trees. In his fear, he wouldn't out to me (I had no idea where he was) or the squeaky ball. But when I brought my other dog, Jake, out on a leash, as soon as he caught sight of Jake, he came running home. (he no longer panics when somebody gets a scolding or yelled at. he knows he's safe and nobody will be hurt here, ever. except me, if I get stepped on of course!).
