(25,348 posts)27. I suspect many towns would not be in favor of losing a source of revenue. Not just traffic...
....tickets and such but also the excuse to search your car...."Looking suspicious" and all that crap.
Also, seems to me that people like to be in control whether it's for fun or status or popularity, (especially among the young).

In Houston, the schools don't have drivers ed. I did parent-taught with my son.
