Trying to deny it or downplay it at this point would be a huge mistake - the tape-loops will start playing at FAUX News, and he'd get eaten alive.

So his best thing to do, for his campaign, and for we the people, is to say what he said to George Stephanopoulos: "What's wrong with that?"
