1. Dark indeed....

I feel like I must be having a bad dream when i see this happening in the country that I thought we were. Progress? Hardly.

My assessment on each:

1) North Carolina: Indication that if the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was held for a vote in NC and most of the south, it wouldnt pass. Hell - they would probably take away the rights of Blacks to marry Whites if they could. While they are at it, maybe even the rights of blacks to not just vote, but women too. WTF.

2) Indiana: Hopefully this primary and Lugar being defeated isnt a sign of Indiana being a lost cause, but rather that the GOP is a lost cause and that the Teabagger movement bat-shit crazy. Indiana citizens need to think long and hard about what they do next. But the scariest statement of all is that Richard Lugar was seen as being defeated not because of his "residency issues" but rather by the fact he worked with Democrats, President Obama in particular, to stop nuclear proliferation. Seriously Indiana? Seriously GOP? Seriously America? Since when did preventing nuclear arms and nuclear materials from getting in the wrong hands become partisan? WTF.

3) West Virginia: Well, I can only say that this confirmed for me that all the jokes about Kissing Cousins must be true. Seriously WV? You hate Obama so much that you would like to have a convicted felon guilty of threats be the President of the United States with a finger on nuclear warheads? I think more than just mountain tops are being destroyed in WV. WTF.

4) Colorado: Well, blame it on more crazy wild-eyed repukes hanging on to power in the CO state legislature. Hopefully Coloradians will recognize soon that this is not the direction want to be headed. If not, WTF.
