the GOP and turned voters to turn out in 2014 and vote Democratic as the only powerful enough group to resist GOP nihilism.

If Bernie doesn't agree with the Democratic platform for 2016, I have not seen it detailed. Many Democrats, especially older ones like myself, see him as a regular Democrat despite the label of being an Independent.

He caucuses with the Democrats in the Senate. Even though there are some differences in our party regarding non-Democrats running, he's no different than us. He's more of a Democrat than any small party.

But then I am not interested in the technicalities or legal points if the philosophy is the same. To me he picked the Democratic Party to run with for good reasons.
