They also have a Republican Party and a Progressive party.

If you check out their state, elected Democrats control the state legislature.

And Senator Leahy of Vermont is a Democrat.

In primaries, citizens must chose a party that they will vote for.

In Presidential Primaries, their choice is recorded.

I see this everywhere and it takes only a little time to find out that they do have Democrats in Vermont.
