Cold winds have been coming over the Rockies and bringing a lot of hail and rain.
I have noticed over the years that when cold wind comes over Pikes Peak, the bad weather affects a huge part of the country. With its counter-clockwise movement, it usually hits the panhandle of Texas and Oklahoma with strong winds or tornadoes.
If it is unusually strong and cold, it can affect Missouri, southern Illinois, and points even further east.
We had another strong hail storm early this morning but it is not real cold.
