(50,983 posts)57. I would like to point out that some unscrupulous hunters have been known
to use live decoys. These would be raised by people and pretty tame. He could have escaped a hunting set up where they anchor a live bird where they hope to attract a large wild tom.

I've seen pet turkeys and ducks. They are imprinted on people early on and follow just like toddlers
