That 'every president since Ford has had Fast Track authority' means they can frame it as though Obama is getting unusually unfair treatment. And I guess it's a necessary corollary to the whole 'we don't even know what's in it!' bullshit.

And they just keep repeating it, no matter how many times it's corrected.
