Obama painting Romney into a very difficult corner. Romney was not a favorite of the Tea Party but still managed to pull out the nomination.

Obama is going to make a series of moves that will put Romney either deep into the Tea Party corner which will alienate moderate voters or distance Romney from the Tea Party which will alienate Tea Party voters. It's a lose-lose situation for Romney. At best Tea Party represents only 30% of the vote which in heavily republican areas and low voter turn out can benefit the Tea Party with elections. But for a Presidential election, an election that historically always has the greatest number of voters out there, Obama is going to drive a very deep wedge between the Moderates and Tea Party with Romney coming out the loser.

When Obama fought for affordable birth control covered by prescription he showed women voters just how bad it's going to get if Romney elected. When he fought to extend the low interest rates on those Strafford student loans he showed young voters just how bad it's goign to get if Romney elected. And today with his announcement of support for same-sex marriage he just showed the LGBT community how bad it's going to get if Romney gets elected.

I do believe Obama is sincere - he has shown that evolution since he was elected so I knew that this day would someday come.
