The Senate Democrats agreed to move forward on a bill which will strip them of the ability to filibuster the TPP, really the only leverage they have to stop a bad deal from getting passed, in exchange for votes on a couple of bills that won't go anywhere? Now all they can say "well we voted against TPP, but aww shucks, we just didn't have the majority to stop it."

They're not stupid, since they know who writes the big checks, but they sure as hell think the people who vote for them are.
