Fox News Channel To Feature Comedy, Parody In New ‘Greg Gutfeld Show’

Fox News Channel is often the subject of critique by hosts of satirical programs like “The Daily Show.” Now, the network will launch a program that features monologues and parodies all its own.

The 21st Century Fox-owned outlet said it would launch a “comedic news hour” on Sunday nights hosted by Greg Gutfeld. “The Greg Gutfeld Show” will debut on May 31st at 10 p.m.,and will feature “parodies on current events, conversation on key issues and signature monologues showcasing Gutfeld’s eclectic humor,” the network said Thursday. Gutfeld is also expected to interview newsmakers, culture critics, and media personalities on major headlines of the week. Joanne Nosuchinsky, a Fox News contributor, will provide offbeat reports and commentary on the program.

Gutfeld, a former editor of Men’s Health and Stuff magazines, is expected to continue as co-host of the Monday-to-Friday talk show “The Five” and to make appearances on Fox News’ “O’Reilly Factor.”

The anchor had been hosting a wee-hours program on Fox News called “Red Eye,” that ran between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. from 2007 until late February. Fox News said a rotating group of correspondents would continue to lead that program for the time being.
