6. frankly, I don't know what to believe, but I know unequivocally...

...that politicians and their minions lie routinely and reflexively to create narratives favorable to themselves and their positions, while competent journalists obsessively check and recheck their facts before publishing them. I also know that journalists make honest errors, and that they sometimes serve agendas other than simply reporting the truth as they discern it, and that politicians are generally smart enough to realize that truth is the best practice as long is it does no damage.

So I had to answer "other." I do not have sufficient data to determine who is correct, therefore I cannot know whom to believe.
