43. LOL !!! - This Brings Back A Memory... In Jr. College I Had A Soc/Psych Teacher Who Asked...

"Can anyone here, name an unselfish reason for having a baby?"

And of course, almost everybody raised their hands...

When he started calling on them, asking to explain... more and more hands came down.

"Because it would continue the heritage/legacy of this family."

Prof: "Your baby does not know what family it was born too."

"Because they are so cute and cuddly."

Prof: "You baby does not know it's cute."

And on and on... Until...

Me (being the smart-ass): "Because I would be the greatest father, that my kid would cure cancer, and the world would be forever better."

And after he threw the chalk, and the eraser at me, he said...

"The BoyScout or GirlScout that helps a frail old lady or man to cross the street, gets to feel good about themselves.

It's the way society has always worked, and the only way it gets better.

Otherwise we are just pre-progammed automatons."
