(62,325 posts)14. We have two parties. Attacking the Left is attacking the Democratic Party.
Stating that a candidate needs to be dragged to the Left, is saying they need to be reminded which party they belong to, which voters they are going to need in order to win. If that is necessary, then there is no guarantee that they will continue to be on the Left once elected.
I prefer a candidate who has no need to be dragged anywhere.
Their record should be enough to show where they stand, not 'nudging' by other candidates.
