That's just the way they are. Also, they do not like to admit that they were lied to by their leaders. It has taken a long time but some are coming around to the truth. That is good. Because it is dangerously wrong to try and make foreign policy around a "big lie". And that is the reality we have been working with since the invasion of Iraq. The American people were lied to. Not just the Democrats that were lied to. Everyone.
